Louise Tratt

British Neuroscience Association, Head of Meetings and Events

Louise is Head of Meetings and Events at the British Neuroscience Association and specialises in planning large-scale multidisciplinary meetings, namely the biennial Festival of Neuroscience, which is the BNA’s flagship event, and sees over 200 researchers and 20 partnering organisations come together to celebrate the latest thinking in neuroscience. Louise recently delivered her sixth Festival in the seaside town of Brighton, an event which saw over 1,150 people descend upon the Brighton Centre in a convivial and inclusive Festival-style setting.

Louise is also responsible for delivering the BNA’s portfolio of online webinars in collaboration with key sponsors, and the annual Festive symposium, a meeting for around 250 delegates, alongside other ad-hoc events and meetings, both online and in-person. Louise has been in the life science industry for 15 years having previously worked for Enzo Life Sciences in an events and marketing-based role, primarily as an exhibitor, and therefore has first-hand experience of events from both sides of the coin.
