Chris Pateman

Chris Pateman is a trade associations professional with a lifetime serving the needs of SME businesses – of which providing an events environment to meet and network with peers is undoubtedly the most important.

After an early career as a production engineer, Chris fell in love with B2B events as a journalist at the Spring Hardware Show at the NEC in 1982.  His later roles as magazine editor, buying group director and then managing director of, respectively, the Builders Merchants Federation and Federation of Communication Services saw him organising, hosting and participating in major national and international conferences and trade shows.
